Paris Saint-Germain faced Inter Milan, and around 64,500 spectators in the stadium, along with hundreds of millions of fans worldwide, followed a match that will go down in history with a spectacular 5:0 final score. The entire city transformed into a massive football celebration for days – with fan zones, special events, and a unique city atmosphere.
The final was also the first Champions League final under the new Swiss model – a reformed league phase with more matches, more excitement, and more surprises. It is estimated that between 300,000 and 500,000 fans from all over the world were in the city. Munich once again proved that it ranks among the best host cities for major sporting events.
The Allianz Arena in the north of Munich is one of the most modern and iconic football stadiums in the world. With its glowing exterior shell and a capacity of around 75,000 (approx. 64,500 spectators for international matches), it provided the perfect setting for the UEFA Champions League 2025 final.
The match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan was a historic duel between two traditional European clubs. The result: a decisive 5:0 victory for Paris Saint-Germain – surprisingly clear and unforgettable. Kick-off was at 9:00 PM local time. With this win, PSG was crowned Champions League winner 2025, claiming the long-awaited first trophy in the club's history.
Beyond the match itself, the UEFA Champions Festival at the Olympiapark was the second major highlight of final week. The free public event on the sprawling Olympic grounds attracted tens of thousands of fans, offering days of entertainment, interactive experiences, and live music.
The Champions Festival is the official UEFA supporting program for the final – a mix of fan zone, event stage, and football theme park. Here, fans from all over the world could soak up the atmosphere of the final, even without a ticket for the Allianz Arena. Admission was free, with registration only required for specific special areas and VIP zones.
The Olympiapark Munich, with its unique architecture and extensive grounds, provided the perfect backdrop for the festival. For those wanting to experience the combination of city flair, football atmosphere, and a free program, this was the place to be.
