opti took place from January 16 to 18, 2026 at Messe München and attracted 21,972 trade visitors and 354 exhibitors. The trade fair is the central meeting point for the optics industry and offers a comprehensive overview of new trends, technologies, and products – from frames and contact lenses to AI-powered solutions for healthcare and audiology.

How to get from Oberschleißheim to Messe München

The hotel is located in the north of Munich and is easily accessible to Messe München by car or public transport. You save on expensive and scarce hotel rooms directly in the city – and instead, enjoy peace, space, and free parking.

By Car – approx. 25 to 35 minutes

From Oberschleißheim, drive south and take the A99, then continue on the A94 towards Passau. Messe München can be reached via the Feldkirchen-West or München-Riem exits. The travel time is approximately 25 to 35 minutes, depending on traffic. Parking is available directly at the exhibition center: P3/P4 (North Entrance) costs 15 €/day, the West multi-storey car park (Northwest Entrance) 21 €/day. For holders of a disabled person's pass, the West multi-storey car park is free. At the hotel itself, however, you park for free – which quickly saves you 30 to 60 Euros over several exhibition days.

By Public Transport – approx. 45 to 60 minutes

The S-Bahn S1 takes you comfortably to the trade fair. The way: From the hotel, it's only about 150 to 200 meters to the bus stop "Lustheim". From there, take bus line 292, which will take you to a transfer point from which shuttle buses run directly to the North Entrance. The total travel time is approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
