Among others, Spitzweg, Dill, Liebermann and Corinth worked here. From 1933 until 1945, Dachau experienced years of horror with the concentration camp. More than 32,000 prisoners died as a result of torture, execution, hunger and epidemics. The Concentration Camp Memorial Site reminds us of this time today.
