"Italy's northernmost city": this is the epithet occasionally given to Munich. If you hear this name you immediately think of the numerous street cafes and bistros, the "Italian Dome" of the Frauenkirche, the Roman baroque of the Theatiner Church, the Feldherrenhalle, the facades on the Ludwigstrasse (both copied from Florentine examples) or the Allheiligenhof Church and its "original", the Capella Reale in Palermo.

Between Mediterranean flair and folksiness, between representative buildings and relaxing parks, Munich has a lot to offer in terms of the quality of living.

Important collections of art, extensive sports facilities, an enormous cultural programme and not least the beer gardens make Munich on of the most "livable" cities in Germany.

A visit to Munich does not have to be expensive. Take a look at our special offers. We have reduced our prices for several weekends.

Leave your car outside Munich. Forget about hunting around for a parking space and the trouble of finding your way around in traffic.

Munich city centre with its numerous sights is best reached comfortably by public transport.

And you just happen to be staying in peaceful surroundings, bordering on one of Germany's biggest baroque parks – the Schleißheim Schloßpark.
